TO APPLY FOR AN LR ,MR, HR LICENCE YOU MUST
Fulfill the following requirements:
- Have held a class C licence for one year or more
- Pass the knowledge test with (RTA) Service NSW
- Pass in eyesight test at (RTA ) Service center
After fulfilling all prerequisites, call Payless Truck Driving for Booking 0406 577 701.
All training is performed with experienced friendly professional truck driving instructors, who is RMS accredited. You should pass the assessment test from first time.

Heavy Vehicle Driving Lessons Sydney
Our heavy vehicle driving lessons in Sydney cater for all driver experience levels and take place in your own MR or HR vehicle. Our accredited truck driver instructor, Ayman Masoud is patient and constructive – our goal is to help you learn to drive your vehicle, not just pass the test.
Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence
For driving 2 axel Bus, Tow Truck, Medium Sized Trucks such as Water Truck, Fire Trucks, SES Trucks Small Car Carriers.
Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence
For driving 3 axels Bus (Coach), Police Rescue Truck, 10-Wheeler Tipper, Large Truck and trailer not exceed 9 tons, Articulated Bus (Bendy Bus).
Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Licence
For Driving Articulated vehicles with three or more axles, Heavy rigid vehicle trailer combinations including unladen dolly, with three or more axles, Any towed trailer with a GVM more than nine tonnes.
Multi Combination (MC) Truck Licence
For Driving B-doubles, Prime mover, low loader dolly and low loader trailer combinations, Road trains.
Bus Driver Authority

Meet Minimum Heavy Vehicle Licence Requirements:
You must have held a provisional or open licence for a period of one year (as a minimum). Unfortunately this means if you’re currently without a licence, on your learner’s permit or have not yet held those licence classes for at least one year, you won’t be eligible to upgrade to your heavy vehicle licence (yet!).
Important: If you’re chasing a HR licence or above, please be aware there are variations to these minimum requirements that we detail further down).

You’ll need to declare that you are medically fit to drive (some conditions such as epilepsy can impact your ability to obtain medical clearance so it’s best to pay your doc a visit if you’re harboring any possible conditions that you believe may impact your driving).
Ace Your Road Rules Heavy Vehicle Licence Test:
March on down to your local Department of Transport and organize to sit your ‘Heavy Vehicle Licence Learner Theory Test’. It’ll cost you $24.75 (as at February 2019) and consists of 10 multiple choice questions on the road rules as they pertain to heavy vehicles.
